The scene where they gather at the town square is one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen!

I agree about feeling tired and bored. They can throw conventions to the wind, but I don’t have to watch it.

I thought this was a great film too! The part at the beginning where they test the feeding machine on The Tramp is one of the funniest sight gags I’ve ever seen.

There were so many great connections in this. It seems obvious in retrospect, but I never thought about the symbolism of water with the rain and the shower.

Another interesting thing about the film is how it made appeals to Christian, Jewish, and Islamic sentiment. It shows how America is both spiritual and tolerant.
